Baker Hughes Bently Nevada Advanced Distributed Architecture Platform Technology, or ADAPT 3701, is a family of compact, high performance safety, machinery protection and condition monitoring solutions targeted at specific assets and applications.
The ADAPT 3701 family is targeted at machines ranked as critical to highly-critical where a safety system is necessary and a permanent on-line protection and condition monitoring system is recommended.
The ADAPT ESD (specifically, the 3701/55 Emergency Shutdown Device) is a safety PLC featuring a graphical logic programming interface and integrated overspeed detection capabilities. This device is specifically designed for emergency shutdown applications involving rotating machinery—including steam turbines, gas turbines, hydro turbines, expanders, and other process equipment.
The ADAPT ESD is a compact, standalone safety shutdown device built upon a triple-redundant architecture, engineered to address a wide spectrum of user applications and requirements. Its design features robust electrical and mechanical packaging, prioritizing system reliability and availability while incorporating comprehensive self-diagnostic functions and strictly adhering to relevant industry standards. For owners and operators of critical machinery, the ADAPT ESD delivers significant value and assurance by strictly complying with global industry standards—such as API 670, API 612, and IEC 61508—and by holding SIL 3 Safety Integrity Level certification.
The 3701/55 ESD has been configured and validated to utilize a specific version of the Bently Nevada Monitor Configuration (BNMC) software, dedicated exclusively to the ADAPT ESD safety system. BNMC provides a user-friendly yet powerful environment for configuration, graphical logic programming, and testing—an environment developed based on extensive user interaction research conducted with end users, OEMs, and field service teams.
Integration with unit controls, HMI’s, or other plant automation systems is via Ethernet using Modbus TCP.

Bently Nevada Trendmaster Online Condition Monitoring System Spares
Trendmaster Pro is an innovative online vibration monitoring system that links hundreds of permanently mounted transducers and measurement points to a single-cable sensor network. It then transmits full-waveform & spectrum data to our System 1 software, with its intuitive interface for tracking, alerting & analyzing your machinery behavior.
This online condition monitoring system is optimized for cost-effective monitoring of machines of intermediate criticality, i.e. machines that don’t demand immediate shut-down protection, but for which monthly portables-based monitoring would be insufficient. A highlight of this system is its suitability for use in the most hazardous environments (i.e. explosive gases).
A wide range of sensor types are supported, including vibration (Acceleration, Velocity, Displacement), temperature (RTD & K thermocouple), Pressure, Process Variables (20mA, 5V), Rack Buffered outputs. Each Transducer Interface Module provides 2 channels of measurement.
